Success in Shenzhen
There was a capacity crowd for the inaugural HDMI Developers Conference, held on September 12, 2007 at the Shangri-la Hotel in Shenzhen, China. Approximately 350 attendees, primarily from China, but also from Taiwan and Hong Kong were on hand for the full-day event. They included professionals from Northstar, Foxconn, Freeport, Konka, Nvidia, Sanyo (Shenzhen) TCL, Thomson, Zoran and a host of Shenzhen-based CE companies. The attendees were a broad cross-section of Product Managers, Design Engineers, Directors, R&D and Sales Managers.
Business/Market Overview
The morning session was devoted to a business/market overview, and included keynote addresses from MII, HDMI, Best Buy, TCL and Sino Market Research, Ltd.

Afternoon Technical Seminars
After a break for lunch and a chance to view a variety of product demos in the exhibition area, the afternoon sessions focused on the technical aspects and best practices for HDMI development and compliance testing. Attendees received the most current information from industry-leading companies, including Agilent Technologies, Digital Content Protection, LLC, Quantum Data, Silicon Image, Simplay Labs and Tektronix.
