Exhibition’s Dongguan Event Sept. 18
Mainland
China’s largest systems design event
set to attract thousands of consumer electronics and
personal computer design engineers and product planners in
South China
HONG KONG, July
27, 2009 – Global Sources (NASDAQ: GSOL) welcomes HDMI® Licensing,
LLC at the 14th International IC-China
Conference & Exhibition (IIC-China, http://www.english.IIC-China.com). HDMI Licensing, LLC is scheduled
to host the Third Annual HDMI Developers Conference on Sept. 18, the
second day of IIC-China’s inaugural event in Dongguan, at the
GD Modern International Exhibition Center in Dongguan, China.
The HDMI specification is the
global standard for next-generation digital interface connectivity for
consumer electronics products and the Conference is expected to attract
a large number of engineers to IIC-China – the mainland’s
most important systems design event.
The one-day Conference aims
to provide in-depth technical “How-To’s” and best practices for
implementing the recently released HDMI Specification Version 1.4 features
in upcoming product lines. Executives and technical professionals from
semiconductor manufacturer RedMere, HDMI Founder Silicon Image, and
leading suppliers of test, measurement, and monitoring products Quantum
Data and Tektronix, are scheduled to give presentations and technical
sessions. IIC-China will also host exhibition booths that showcase
technologies from HDMI Adopters, Sure-Fire and Synopsys in Dongguan.
Steve Venuti, President of
HDMI Licensing, LLC, said: “The HDMI standard is the global standard
for HD connectivity – more than 394 million HDMI-enabled devices
are expected to be shipped in 2009.
“And among the 850-plus HDMI
Adopters worldwide, more than one quarter of them are headquartered
in Greater China. We have long recognized the strength of Greater China’s
manufacturing and design as well as the tremendous market opportunity
within Greater China. Our Developer Conference at IIC-China enables
us to better address Greater China’s large and innovative manufacturing
capabilities.”
Mark A. Saunderson, President
of Global Sources Electronics Business Unit, said: “We are delighted
to have HDMI Licensing, LLC join us in Dongguan for the co-located Conference.
“With HDMI becoming one of
the most popular technology standards for consumer electronics and personal
computers, HDMI’s educational Conference is set to be a must-attend
event for design engineers and product planners working in Dongguan
and its surrounding cities like Shenzhen, Guangzhou, Huizhou, Foshan,
Shunde and Zhongshan. We are prepared to welcome thousands of visitors
at the inaugural show in Dongguan.”
The HDMI Developers Conference
is scheduled to run through 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sept. 18 in Conference
